Ingredients
- 12oz green beans
- 8 garlic cloves, minced
- 5 slices bacon, diced
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 T coconut aminos
Instructions
- Fill a medium pot with water and bring it to a boil. Once the water is boiling, add the green beans and boil for 5 -6 minutes. The beans should be tender. Immediately remove the beans from the heat, drain the liquid, and place them in an ice bath.
- In a large sauté pan, add the bacon and cook it until it’s crispy, stirring often to keep it from burning. Using a slotted spoon, remove the crispy bacon from the pan and set it aside
- Drain the bacon fat from the pan, leaving 1-2 tablespoons in the pan. Turn the heat to low and add the garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Add the green beans, coconut aminos, sea salt, and pepper. Continue sautéing for 2-3 minutes, frequently stirring until the beans are hot.
- Top the beans with the bacon and serve.
