Ingredients
- 1 lb brussels sprouts, ends trimmed and sliced in half
- 5 bacon slices, roughly chopped
- 3 T balsamic vinegar
- 3 T maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Instructions
- In a large sauté pan on low heat, add the chopped bacon and cook until it’s crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan, leaving the rendered fat behind.
- Add the brussels sprouts, flat side down, to the pan in a single layer. Cook them until they are caramelized and tender, about 7-10 minutes.
- Add the balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, and sea salt to the pan and toss everything together. The liquids will be mostly evaporated, and a thick syrup will remain.
- Add the bacon to the pan and serve.
