"Peanut" Sauce Chicken Wings
These chicken wings can be cooked in the oven or the air fryer, and then they are tossed in an almond butter sauce similar to a peanut sauce. They are Whole30 and Paleo compatible.

Ingredients
Chicken Wings
- 3 lbs. chicken wings
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- “peanut” sauce (recipe below)
“Peanut” Sauce
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 2 T cilantro leaves
- 2 T coconut aminos
- 1/4 C creamy almond butter (no salt, the only ingredient is almonds)
- 2 pitted dates, soaked in hot water for 15 minutes
- 1 tsp red curry paste
- 3 T avocado oil
- 2 T rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 T lime juice
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1-2 T hot water
Instructions
- Oven Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place a cooling rack on top of the parchment paper on the sheet pan.
- Sprinkle the chicken wings with salt and pepper and place them on the cooling rack.
- Put the sheet pan in the oven and bake for 45-55 minutes. The chicken should be cooked through, no longer pink, and the skin is crispy.
- Air Fryer Instructions:
- Sprinkle the chicken wings with salt and pepper and place them in the air fryer's basket.
- Cook the wings at 370 degrees for 20-30 minutes. The chicken should be cooked through, no longer pink, and the skin is crispy.
- Place all the "peanut" sauce ingredients into a high-speed blender or jar wide enough to fit an immersion blender.
- Blend everything until it’s fully combined.
- Toss the chicken wings in the “peanut” sauce and serve.
